Five Star fun in Malaysia

After several months of 'roughing it' I was only too pleased to pay a short trip to Sabah, Malaysia to hook up with friends from England - Ian, Pam and their two wonderful children, Tegan (6) and Lauren (10).
Ian had just finished some work in Adeleide, Australia and decided to stop off for a week of luxury at a five star resort. So, courtesy of Asian Air I manged to secure yet another cheap flight to meet them. In truth, I will have to revisit Malaysia, it has so much more to offer than I could discover in just six days.
However, Sabah is a wonderous haven for amazing wildlife, including orangutans and boasts some of the best snorkelling and diving the world has to offer.
Having spent much of the last few months travelling alone it was  great to see friends from home and relax in sumptuous surroundings with luxurious rooms, relaxing pools and gorgeous food.
What made the week however, were Ian and Pam's wonderful children - energetic and hilarious in equal measure! Soon after my arrival Tegan commented that her dad had told her that I was, to quote "a bit girly".
What in fact Ian had said (being a real man from Sheffield) was that I was a "southern jessie"...how kids interpret and regurgitate things is hilarious and made for a very special few days. That girl will go far!
All in all a great time was had by all...I shall miss them a great deal.
Featured below are some of the images that made for a special time...can't wait to go back, though I fear that my next trip will involve staying in rather more modest accommodation!
